Pompeian horti in the Boboli Gardens

After the closure of the exhibition Ancient gardens from Babylon to Rome. Science, art and nature (9 May - 28 October 2007), the two spectacular full-scale Pompeian gardens re-built which concluded the exhibition are still open to the public. The exhibition was visited by a large number of people during its seven-and-half month duration. Walking through Boboli Gardens, a wonderful paragon of the Renaissance garden, visitors will be able to take a leap into the ancient Pompeii, by visiting the garden of the House of the Vettii and the one of the House of the Painters at Work, both set up in the lawns facing the "Limonaia Grande".
